President's Message

Happy New Year to all of our families, staff and students.  We are excited that it has been a more normal year and wanted to update you on few a things we have been busy with so far this year to help assist our staff and students throughout the school.  Below is a summary of some of the initiatives we have done year to date:

  • First Day of School T-Shirts for all students and staff
  • Teacher appreciation activies:  New teacher breakfast, all staff welcome back lunch, fall conference dinner, candy for teacher's lounge, National Teacher Recognition Week Pies and the BVHS holiday luncheon that included special insulated mugs for staff.
  • Dances:  Freshman Mixer, Homecoming, Sweetheart Dance - we provided volunteers, snacks and water.
  • Senior for Seniors Volunteer Day where we visited multiple senior living centers in the area.
  • Grants:  Huddle:  $5,000, wraps for the updated weight room $5,000, Musical $5,000,Tigerettes $1,000, Robotics $1,800 and the Library $167.   We are in the process of finalizing our fall concessions grants and will make annoucements soon on upcoming grants.  Our grants are primarily funded through profits from concession sales and our Black & Gold Party.
  • Concessions - We provided concessions for most of our Fall varsity sports including Soccer, Volleyball and Football.  We are currently working concessions for Winter sports that include Wrestling along with Boys and Gifts Basketball.  Thank you to all of our volunteers that helped with concessions so far this year!
  • Hospitality - provide treats for 8th grade curriculum night along with NHS ceremony.

Our PTO cannot exist with you and your support!  We help in ways that the school is not always able to fund.  To date, we have only reached 82% of our goal for PTO membership. If you are not already a member please consider joining so we can continue to provide necessary resources thoughout our school.  Click here to join now!  There are also instructions below how how to join if you have not already done so.  Also, don't forget to download the Membership Toolkit APP to have all phone numbers and address from the directory on your phone.  You will be asked to update your information each year - please take time to verify your personal information so that is correct in our directory.

Thank you in advance for your support and GO Tigers!

After Prom - 3/25

Blue Valley High School PTO invites all Juniors, Seniors, and their dates to an After Prom party at Chicken 'N Pickle on 3/25/2023.  It is held immediately following Prom and is a PTO event done so out of our desire to provide a fun, safe, and alcohol and drug free environment for our upperclassmen students whether they choose to attend Prom or not.  This event is has become "THE" event to attend at BVHS and has had over 425 students attend in recent years. Click here to let us know you'll be attending.

We could not provide this worthwhile project without the help of our parents and we hope you consider making a donation to the event. Please consider making a cash donation by clicking here or send in a gift card to the high school marked PTO for $15-$25 so that we can include in our raffles for the kids.

Seniors Helping Seniors

Thank you to Stefani Briere, Emily Parrish and Mollie McNallie for helping us to get our Senior Project going again after a couple years off due to the pandemic.  This initiative was renamed "Seniors Helping Seniors and was a day of service for our seniors wishing to help at 17 different retirement communities throughout the area.  Hats off to everyone that participated - pictures from the day can be viewed by clicking here!
